About Natalia · The Scar Specialist
The eye of an artist. The care of a specialist.
I'm Natalia Mejia. I help people feel more at home in their own skin, treating scars, areolas, and stretch marks with skill, patience, and respect.
My path to this work.
I came to scar care through my own life.
I spent many years as a makeup artist. Originally from Colombia, I built my career in fashion and, after moving to New York, spent more than a decade represented by an elite talent agency, working with artists and brands around the world. That work trained my eye, taught me how color, light, and skin behave, and gave me a feel for detail that I bring to everything I do now.
During the pandemic, my life changed. My husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor and went through two surgeries. As he recovered, I used everything I knew about skin to care for his scar, improving its texture and color as he healed. Around the same time, I lost my mother, unexpectedly.
Watching what gentle, skilled care could give back to someone I loved showed me where I wanted to put my hands and my heart. I trained, I certified, and I built a practice devoted entirely to scars, including the deeply personal work of helping people who have undergone mastectomies feel whole again.
My fashion background gave me an artist's eye. My own experience gave me the reason. Today, I bring both to every person I sit with.

Our commitment
Because how we feel in our skin matters.
Scars are more than a mark on the skin's surface. They come with memories, feelings, and sometimes a sense of discomfort. For some, a scar is a reminder of something they'd rather forget. For others, it's something they've made peace with but still wish looked different.
Wanting to change how a scar looks doesn't mean rejecting the past. It means choosing how to carry it forward.
Our purpose is to help people feel more comfortable in their own skin. We're here to make a visible mark feel less loud, less defining. We believe in progress, not perfection.
There's a space between the physical and the emotional, between how something looks and how it makes us feel. Our work lives in that space. We exist to offer options, safe and respectful ones, to soften what's hard to face in the mirror.
The results are never the same for everyone. But the intention is always to offer care that is honest, skilled, and grounded in what's truly possible. And sometimes, even the smallest changes can bring real relief.
Let's talk about what's possible for you.
Whatever your story, I would be honored to be part of it.
